Born on the BC coast, Chelsea Stringer is a Canadian Artist working in the Okanagan. As a student at the University of Calgary, she developed a 3D fossil style of painting using acrylic and oil paints on canvas.
Her involvement with the Stanley Park Ecology Society and the Bateman Foundation gave her more time outdoors to practice a tilt-shift painting style with ink on watercolour paper, combining fountain pens and watercolour brushes. Her subsequent work has been characterized by landscape painting, in both water colour and acrylic, and prominently features marine and coastal themes.
Chelsea has also begun passionate experimentation with murals, with a focus on outdoor skylines and the exploration of outside-the-box experiences.
